Vectara is named a Representative Vendor in Enterprise AI Search
In our view, the new Gartner® report, How to Navigate the Emerging AI Context Platform Market, maps six core submarkets converging on a single problem: getting reliable context to enterprise AI agents.
Enterprise AI search is one of the six core submarkets covered by the report. In the Gartner comparison of the submarkets, "enterprise AI search is generally stronger in unstructured data support and runtime delivery, but provides less formal semantics" [1]. Unstructured data support and runtime delivery are the two capabilities that determine whether an agent can actually answer from contracts, policies, tickets and correspondence at production scale. Our understanding is that Gartner also cautions that a structured-data proof of concept will not expose gaps in unstructured data support.
